Press release:
With renewed vigor, Vienna's Sub Audio Records presents the first EP heading into this promising new year, spearheaded by a remarkably talented artist - based in Manchester, UK. Kodama's production style envelopes an organic mixture of Hip-Hop and Breaks influences, a most welcome addition to the current Dubstep climate. Receiving support from various venerable figures within the scene, this fulminant EP proves to be yet another weighty reason as to why you should keep an eye out for the man.
'Dastan' at once emits a profound sense of anticipation. Shrouding itself in warm, orientally orchestrated ambiance and a sense of mystique, conveyed by philosophical speech fragments. Organically proceeding, the arrangement lunges into a storm of entrancing arpeggios, led on by rolling kicks amidst slapping snares and ratcheting percussive goodness.
Turning to 'Silvanito' we're presented with a distinctively more dire state of affairs. Immersed within the haunting ramblings of the past, ever carefully modulated string plucks guide us through ample amounts of low-frequency pressure, driven along by a deeply spheric, melodic presence.
Spacious and dubbed out, 'One Too Many' provides authentic Dub B-Side flair, hurling keen listeners into a meditative blend of sweetly overdriven pressure emissions on top of intricate drum excursions. Iconic vocals ride spectral bells, reverberating into the ethereal ambiance.

Absolutely original! This stands out in a sea of similar-sounding dubstep. I hope you continue to produce innovative 140bpm for a long time to come! metaldub
